Before you buy

What is D200?

D200 is a battery-free portable Wi-Fi hotspot with built-in CloudSIM connectivity.

It creates a private Wi-Fi network for phones, laptops, tablets, and other Wi-Fi devices after you power it with stable 5V / 2A USB-A power and use an active prepaid data plan.

What is CloudSIM?

CloudSIM is the SIM-free connectivity technology behind D200.

It helps the device connect through supported local carrier networks without a physical SIM card or eSIM profile.

CloudSIM is upstream uCloudlink technology.

uCloudlink commercialized SIM-free portable Wi-Fi service in 2014, and its CloudSIM technology was patented in 2015.

Does D200 use SIM or eSIM?

No. D200 does not use a physical SIM card or an eSIM profile.

You do not insert your own SIM card, and you do not scan an eSIM QR code into D200.

You link the device through GlocalMeIOT and buy prepaid data there.

D200 or SIM/eSIM?

Choose a SIM or eSIM if you only need one phone online, want a local phone number, or do not want another device.

Choose D200 when you want private Wi-Fi for multiple devices, travel days, cars, short stays, remote work, or backup internet without constantly managing SIMs across regions.

Is it different from my phone hotspot?

Yes. A phone hotspot shares your phone's own cellular plan and can drain phone battery during long travel days.

D200 is a separate Wi-Fi source.

It keeps your phone free while nearby devices connect to one shared portable hotspot.

Why no battery?

No internal battery keeps D200 lighter, airline-safe, and free from battery aging or charge-cycle concerns.

The tradeoff is simple: D200 does not need to be charged, but it does need stable 5V / 2A USB-A power from a wall adapter, power bank, laptop USB port, or suitable vehicle adapter.

Is data included?

No. The device price is for D200 only.

Cellular internet requires a prepaid data plan purchased separately through GlocalMeIOT, a uCloudlink platform.

Eligible new users may currently get up to 90% off a selected first local plan.

Current offer: 1GB per month for 12 months — 12GB total. Offers and terms may vary inside GlocalMeIOT.

Why trust the technology?

D200 uses CloudSIM technology from uCloudlink, the upstream company behind the GlocalMeIOT platform.

According to uCloudlink's full-year 2025 results reported via Nasdaq, its CloudSIM platform averaged about 723,706 monthly active users in 2025.

That is upstream platform proof, not an Ainbit or D200 user-count claim.

Data Plans & GlocalMeIOT

What is GlocalMeIOT?

GlocalMeIOT is where you link D200, buy prepaid data, check usage, and manage supported plan settings.

Ainbit sells the D200 device.

Prepaid data is purchased separately through GlocalMeIOT, operated by uCloudlink.

Do I need the app?

Not always. You can use the GlocalMeIOT app, or scan the QR code on D200 to open the browser-based GlocalMeIOT Data Mall.

The app is still recommended for easier long-term use, usage checks, plan management, and carrier selection where available.

How do I buy data?

Open GlocalMeIOT through the app, or scan the QR code printed on D200 to open the browser-based GlocalMeIOT Data Mall.

Register or sign in, link your D200, choose a supported local, regional, or global plan, then complete payment.

After purchase, use D200 in a destination covered by the plan.

Power it on there, or re-power it if it was already on, so the plan can activate and provide internet access.

Can I buy data before I travel?

Yes, and it is often the better travel setup.

Buy a supported destination plan before your trip, then power D200 after you arrive.

Plan activation depends on the exact plan and the destinations it covers, so check the GlocalMeIOT details before purchase.

When does data start?

Data usually starts when D200 is powered on in a destination covered by the purchased plan.

Local, regional, global, and other destination-scope plans follow destination-based activation.

Always check the supported countries or regions and the plan duration inside GlocalMeIOT before relying on it for travel.

Can I keep D200 and buy data later?

Yes. You can own D200 without paying a monthly device fee to Ainbit.

When you need internet again, buy a suitable prepaid data plan through GlocalMeIOT.

Without an active supported plan, D200 can still broadcast Wi-Fi, but it will not provide internet access.

Local or regional plan?

Use a local plan when you need data in your registered country or region and a local plan is available.

Use regional, global, or other international plans when you are traveling across destinations covered by that plan.

These plan types are organized to make destination buying easier, but the exact covered locations and activation rules still come from GlocalMeIOT.

Subscription or pay as you go?

D200 does not create a required subscription from Ainbit.

GlocalMeIOT may offer one-time packages and renewal-style plans.

Choose what fits your trip or usage need, and manage package or renewal plans inside the GlocalMeIOT app or browser-based GlocalMeIOT Data Mall.

Can data plans be refunded?

Prepaid data plans are digital services and are generally non-refundable once purchased or activated.

If you bought a renewal-style plan, manage cancellation inside GlocalMeIOT.

If you run into a technical issue, contact support inside GlocalMeIOT or contact Ainbit support so the situation can be checked.

D200 Setup & Daily Use

How do I start?

Link D200. Scan the QR code on the device and register or sign in through GlocalMeIOT using a browser or the mobile app.

Activate data. Buy a valid prepaid plan for your destination or use case. For travel, choose a supported local, regional, global, or other international plan based on where you will use D200.

Join the Wi-Fi. Power D200 with stable 5V / 2A USB-A power, wait for the indicator light to become ready, then connect using the Wi-Fi name (SSID) and password printed on the device.

How do I use it after landing?

If you already bought a supported plan, power D200 after arrival and wait for the Wi-Fi indicator to show it is ready.

If you have not bought data yet, use your phone or another internet source to open GlocalMeIOT, buy a supported plan, then re-power D200 for internet access.

How many devices can connect?

Up to 8 devices can connect to D200 at the same time.

Phones, laptops, tablets, car screens, and other Wi-Fi devices can share the hotspot.

Bandwidth is shared, so heavy use on one device can affect the others.

Can I plug it into a computer?

In some cases, D200 may support direct USB network use with compatible computers.

Compatibility can vary by computer, operating system, and USB output.

The safest everyday use case is still Wi-Fi sharing, powered by stable 5V / 2A USB-A.

What power do I need?

D200 needs stable 5V / 2A USB-A power.

Low-output adapters, weak car USB ports, or unstable power banks can cause restarts or connection trouble, especially during active network use or unstable signal conditions.

Does D200 support 5G?

No. D200 uses 4G LTE.

That is intentional for broad travel usefulness: 4G LTE remains widely available globally and can support everyday travel, maps, messaging, browsing, streaming, video calls, and normal work when local network conditions are good.

Coverage, Speed & Carriers

Where does D200 work?

D200 is designed for use across 100+ countries and regions with supported prepaid plans.

Before relying on it for a trip or workday, check D200 coverage for your destination and confirm plan availability in GlocalMeIOT.

Will it work everywhere?

No portable cellular device works the same everywhere.

D200 works through supported local carrier networks.

Places without carrier signal, some underground areas, thick buildings, remote routes, network congestion, connected devices, and unstable power can all affect service.

Is 4G LTE fast enough today?

For everyday use, yes. D200 supports 4G LTE with theoretical speeds up to 150 Mbps downlink and 50 Mbps uplink.

Actual speeds depend on local carrier conditions, but 4G LTE can comfortably support maps, messaging, browsing, streaming, video calls, and normal remote work in good coverage areas.

Zoom and VPN?

D200 can support video calls, VPN, and normal work when the local 4G LTE connection is good and your data plan fits the usage.

For important calls, test the connection first.

If signal is weak, try a different location or manually switch carriers where available.

Airports, hotels, trains, roads?

D200 can work anywhere supported local cellular networks are available, with stable power and an active plan.

Airports, hotels, cities, roads, and trains can all vary. Tunnels, remote routes, crowded towers, and thick walls can affect service.

Weak signal?

If signal is weak, first move D200 closer to a window or a more open location and confirm the power source is stable.

If another supported carrier is available, you can try manual carrier selection in GlocalMeIOT.

Restarting D200 can also trigger a fresh network search.

Can I switch carriers manually?

Yes, where multiple supported local carrier networks are available.

Use the GlocalMeIOT app or browser-based GlocalMeIOT platform to try another available carrier.

Automatic switching can happen when service is lost, usually after about 3 minutes without usable network access, but it should not be treated as immediate when the signal is only weak.

Why is my data running out fast?

Data usage comes from the devices connected to D200, not from D200 itself.

Phones and laptops may treat D200 like normal Wi-Fi and start cloud backups, app updates, photo syncing, system downloads, or video streaming.

Pause high-data background activity when using a prepaid travel plan, especially with smaller data packages.

Orders, Shipping & Returns

Where do you ship from?

Ainbit is operated by Ainbit Limited (Hong Kong).

Orders are fulfilled from Bao'an District, Shenzhen, China on behalf of Ainbit.

How long does shipping take?

Delivery estimates vary by destination and logistics conditions.

Current approved shipping guidance is 7-12 days for many destinations in North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific, and 7-30 days for other supported destinations.

Delivery times are estimates only and may be affected by carriers, customs, weather, holidays, or local conditions.

I can't check out from my country?

If your destination is not available at checkout, it is likely not supported yet.

Ainbit is built around a device designed for 100+ countries and regions, and we expect to support more markets as the store grows.

You can subscribe in the footer for updates or contact support@ainbit.com and we can check whether any option is available.

Customs or import fees?

Most orders should not create surprise charges for many supported destinations, but customs rules vary by country and region.

If import duties, taxes, or local handling fees apply, they are the customer's responsibility unless Ainbit explicitly states otherwise.

If something looks unusual, contact us and we will help check what happened.

Can I return the device?

Ainbit has a 30-day return window.

Return eligibility follows the published refund policy and product-condition requirements.

In general, D200 must be unused, in the same condition as received, with original packaging, accessories, and proof of purchase.

Contact Ainbit before sending any return. Customers are usually responsible for return shipping unless the item is defective, damaged, or incorrect.

Data plans purchased through Data Mall or GlocalMeIOT are handled under their own data plan cancellation and refund rules.

Are data plans refundable?

Data plans are handled separately from the D200 device return policy.

Data plans purchased through Data Mall or GlocalMeIOT are contract-free and may be canceled at any time.

Unused data plans are eligible for a full refund. Partially used data plans may be eligible for a usage-based partial refund.

Recurring data plans can be canceled at any time. Future billing will stop according to Data Mall or GlocalMeIOT’s applicable terms.

Refund or cancellation requests for data plans should be handled through the service where the data plan was purchased.

What support is available?

For order, shipping, return, and Ainbit store questions, contact support@ainbit.com.

For data-plan and account management, GlocalMeIOT also provides online support inside the app or browser-based platform.

The D200 Hub and FAQ should answer common setup questions first.
