Thailand southern border coverage notice

Due to local telecom restrictions, GlocalMeIOT / uCloudlink network service may not be available in selected areas of southern Thailand.

What changed

According to a service notice from uCloudlink, selected areas in southern Thailand are under special telecom control.

GlocalMeIOT / uCloudlink network service may not be available in these areas.

Affected areas:

  • Pattani
  • Narathiwat
  • Yala
  • Betong
  • Chana, Songkhla Province
  • Na Thawi, Songkhla Province
  • Thepha, Songkhla Province
  • Saba Yoi, Songkhla Province

What this means for D200 users

D200 may not be able to provide network access in the listed areas.

Users traveling to these areas should not rely on D200 as their only internet connection.

Recommended action

If you need internet access in the affected areas, prepare a locally purchased SIM card that meets local real-name verification requirements.

Starter data offer updated

The GlocalMeIOT app icon may now appear as a red U logo instead of the previous green IOT icon. It is still the same app used to link D200 and manage prepaid data.
